THE PEOPLE, PROGRAMS & INNOVATIONS ADVANCING CANNABIS SAFETY
Across the country, researchers, advocates, educators, businesses, public officials, and innovators are addressing cannabis safety challenges essential to integrating cannabis medicines into healthcare. Throughout September, Americans for Safe Access and our partners hosted Cannabis Safety Month to address contentious cannabis safety issues, separate fact from fiction, identify gaps in knowledge and regulation, and highlight practical, evidence-based solutions.
As part of the campaign, the public nominated individuals, organizations, programs, and innovations advancing cannabis safety. The 2026 Cannabis Safety Awards recognize their contributions to research, education, product safety, consumer protection, patient advocacy, and public policy. Together, the nominees demonstrate that many solutions already exist and lay the foundation for stronger protections and responsible cannabis reform.
