The Flower Forward Award recognizes a whole-flower vaporization device or accessory that advances temperature control, materials safety, cleanability, dose awareness, usability, and clear consumer guidance.

Medical cannabis patients use a wide variety of product forms and routes of administration, and safety discussions need to reflect how people actually consume cannabis. Cannabis Safety Month provides an opportunity to recognize technologies that apply better engineering, clearer information, and stronger product design to whole-flower use rather than treating the device itself as an afterthought.

Whole-flower cannabis is likely to remain important to many medical cannabis patients even as pharmaceutical and manufactured cannabis products expand. Better vaporization technologies can support more informed product use, greater consistency, improved maintenance and hygiene practices, and patient choice while encouraging manufacturers to compete on safety and usability as well as performance.
