2026 Watchdog Award

The Watchdog Award honors a reporter, editor, producer, or independent journalist whose original reporting investigated a cannabis safety issue with depth, accuracy, fairness, and public consequence. Strong work may uncover overlooked risks, examine failures in regulation or implementation, challenge unsupported claims, expose problems in products or markets, or investigate whether policies intended to protect the public are actually working.

Cannabis Safety Month is built around the idea that difficult cannabis issues should be examined rather than avoided or reduced to political talking points.
