2020 Veterans and Medical Cannabis Roundtable Discussion

To commemorate Veteran’s Day, Americans for Safe Access and key veterans groups across the U.S. decided to host a medical cannabis roundtable event on November 10, 2020.

2020 Medical Cannabis Symposium for Pediatric Neurological Conditions

Recorded on 9/26/2020 this live online symposium provided the opportunity for experts, researchers, patients and caregivers to discuss issues in pediatric cannabis. Expanding on our Sonoma Chapter's amazing local symposium from 2019 this event expanded to bring in a national audience to this important topic. 2020 Covid Safety Training w/Americans from Safe Access

This training video was developed for the volunteers at National Expungement Week in partnership with The Social Impact Center. It provides information on CDC guidelines for preventing the transmission of COVID-19 through discussion of the use, cleaning, and disposal of personal protective equipment including gloves, face masks, and face shields. This training also reviews safe interactions with people and provides information on the safe transfer of products from one person to another as well as best practices for cleaning and disinfecting.

Take Control of your Medical Cannabis with Journaling

At this year's Collision Conference in Toronto, Canada, Sherer was on a panel discussing lessons to be learned from Canada’s experience. Also on the panel were Hilary Black, Chief Advocacy Officer for Canopy Growth Corporation and Sara Brittany Somerset, a cannabis reporter for Forbes. The panel considered what innovations coming out of Canada mean for the industry, for healthcare and for the patient-consumer.

How to Submit Effective Comments to the FDA

Earlier this spring, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a notice in the Federal Register that invited the public to submit scientific information and comments on cannabis and cannabis products. Americans for Safe Access Foundation (ASA) and The Answer Page, Inc. have created the Cannabis Care Certification (CCC) program to help doctors provide the best care for legal medical cannabis patients, and to help patients get the most from their medical cannabis use. CCC has been created by recognized world experts and includes online educational tools for medical professionals, patients, and their caregivers to better understand the role of cannabis therapeutics through a structured learning environment.
