The DEA’s Denial of Existing Medical Cannabis Research

ASA published this report in response to the DEA's 2016 “Denial of Petition to Initiate Proceedings to Reschedule Marijuana” report justifying their decision not to reschedule cannabis (Factsheet: 2016 DEA Cannabis Scheduling Denial).  In the report, ASA quantifies the weakness of the DEA's analysis and catalogs errors in the their arguments, providing a detailed analysis, corrections, and alternative findings. 

This report was the key to ASA's successful campaign to stop the DEA from spreading misinformation about  the "gateway" theory, cannabis induced psychosis, and more, ending the era of "refer madness"
