Background on State Laws

Medical cannabis is legal in Oklahoma. Patients may possess up to eight ounces of medical cannabis flower and one ounce of concentrated medical cannabis, and may also cultivate up to six mature plants with another six immature plants. Patients and caregivers may purchase up to three ounces at a time from dispensaries. Oklahoma allows out-of-state patients with a valid medical cannabis card to apply for a 30 day temporary card for a registration fee of $100. Residents of other states who have state-government-issued medical marijuana patient licenses are eligible for Oklahoma’s 30-day adult or minor out-of-state patient licenses. Prescriptions or licenses issued by out-of-state medical providers are not honored for Oklahoma’s out-of-state licenses.
