ACTION ALERTSContact Your Local Representatives About Medical Cannabis Licensing (California) Some California cities have moved forward with licensing for commercial medical cannabis activity since Governor Brown signed the Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act (MMRSA) earlier this year. Unfortunately, others have reacted by banning some or all medical cannabis businesses and organizations. Most cities and counties have yet to act. Your local representatives need to hear from you whether they have licensed medical cannabis, banned it, or have done nothing at all. --- Membership matters! Americans for Safe Access (ASA) is the nation’s leading medical cannabis patients’ advocacy organization. Our goal is to make medical cannabis legally available for everyone who needs it, and we need your help to make that happen! ASA members are patients, caretakers, doctors, researchers, attorneys, providers and concerned community members who are helping to overcome barriers to safe and dignified access to medical cannabis nationwide.
