Keystone State Testing Lab Receives National Certification from Patient Focused Certification Program
Washington, DC -- We are pleased to announce that Keystone State Testing Laboratory of Harrisburg, PA has been certified for laboratory analysis of cannabis products under our dual Patient Focused Certification (PFC)/ISO 17025 laboratory accreditation program in partnership with the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). PFC is the only nonprofit third-party certification program for the cannabis industry based on quality standards issued by the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) and the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia (AHP). ISO 17025 is an internationally recognized laboratory standard for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, and is a required standard for many cannabis testing labs. Working with A2LA we have combined them into the most complete laboratory certification available.
“This achievement demonstrates Keystone’s continued commitment to cannabis product safety for patients and consumers,'' said Heather Despres, PFC Program Director. “Keystone continues to adhere to the rigorous standards set forth by both the PFC program and the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program.”
“Keystone State Testing, the first laboratory in the country to have successfully completed PFC's and A2LA's joint accreditation program is once again truly excited to announce our continuing accreditation through this great program.” said Russell Greenland, CEO. “KST prides itself on being able to provide the most robust analytical solutions to those we serve in our community. We believe that through integrity, precision, and accuracy we will continue to empower our clients, patients, and regulators with the best possible science available.”
Keystone joins a growing list of PFC certified cannabis businesses since the program was officially launched in 2015, and becomes the third laboratory to achieve this dual certification.
