Ohio Protest to Stop the DEAs Expanding War on Medical Marijuana and Patients!

June 6th has been declared as a day for a nation-wide action by a coalition of dozens of marijuana reform groups all across the United States. The nation-wide day of action has been called because of the recent raids of the DEA and the federal government on California's legal marijuana medical buyer's clubs and patients that use these buyer's clubs as a source for safe medical marijuana. The Ohio Cannabis Society, the local contact for this action will protest the Ohio Patient Network and North Ohio NORML.
The protest will start at noon at the DEA Outpost, at 310 Lakeside Ave NW, Cleveland, Ohio. Picketers will have banners, picket signs, drums and literature for the public. Some medical marijuana patients will join the protest as well as average citizens from Northern Ohio. John Hartman, Director of the Ohio Cannabis Society says, 'this is also a preemptive strike by marijuana law reformers who expect a new push to crack down on the 'renegade states' on June 7th, when lawyers expect the United States District Court for Northern California to finalize a ruling that clears the way for DEA raids on medical marijuana dispensaries in Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.'
