My TCBD Inc., through the work of cannabis and hemp operator, manufacturer, retailer, and consumer-safety advocate Kelly Young, focuses on a basic access problem: patients and healthcare professionals cannot make informed choices if they do not understand what a cannabinoid product is, how it was made, or how processing may have changed it.

As cannabinoid manufacturing becomes more complex, similar-looking products can come from very different production pathways. Young advocates for clearer distinctions between botanical, plant-derived full-spectrum cannabinoids and cannabinoids that have been synthetically produced or substantially altered through post-processing. She also calls for standardized testing, labeling, and traceability that make those differences visible.

That information matters because a final laboratory result does not always tell the whole story. It may identify what is present in a finished product without explaining how cannabinoids were extracted, converted, formulated, or modified along the way. For patients and healthcare professionals comparing products, vague terminology can make very different products seem interchangeable.

My TCBD Inc’s approach follows the product from botanical source through processing, testing, packaging, and distribution. The goal is to give consumers and professionals clearer information about what they are actually using rather than asking them to navigate technical manufacturing differences on their own.

My TCBD Inc advances the goals of the Safe Access Award by treating understandable product information as part of access itself. Patients cannot make safe, informed choices if the products available to them are technically accessible but difficult to understand.
