Know Your Ballot. Know Your Candidates.

Every American voter will participate in at least one federal race in 2026. Use ASA’s tools to confirm your Congressional district, see whether you will also vote in a Senate race, and research the candidates seeking to represent you — including how to contact them directly.
Every Congressional seat is contested every two years, while Senate seats serve six-year terms divided into three election cycles (Classes I, II, and III). In 2026, all 435 U.S. House seats will be on the ballot, and Class II Senate seats, originally elected in 2020, will be up for election, with 2 special Senate elections to occur in Ohio and Florida. (35 seats total).
Every American voter will have at least one Congressional race on their ballot based on their district.

Research Your Candidates
ASA has created a Candidate Worksheet to help you document what you learn about federal candidates in your area. Use the worksheet alongside the resources below to research who is running and where they stand on medical cannabis policy.
Notably, 51 House races and 9 Senate races currently lack incumbents, meaning new leaders will fill those seats.
