The summit represents the first medical cannabis lobby day and advocacy event following the recent confirmations by Health & Human Services (HHS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) that cannabis has accepted medical value. The summit will include meetings with attendees’ representatives and a day of advocacy skill-building and strategy sessions. Leading up to the event, ASA will be hosting a series of virtual educational seminars, training, and community-building events, as well as actions attendees can participate in on their "Voyage to DC," including gathering patient stories and press outreach about their voyage and educational events.
