TAKE ACTION:

Protect Medical Cannabis Patients Now!

Congress has begun stripping away critical protections for millions of patients who rely on state medical cannabis programs. President Trump’s Budget Proposal threatened to unleash federal prosecution on patients, providers, and caregivers by eliminating spending restrictions on the Department of Justice's 2026 Budget.

Money talks...The Appropriations process in the United States allows Congress to prioritize how agencies prioritize enforcement and oversight through the power of the purse.  For over a decade, an amendment to the DOJ's budget bill, also known as the CJS Medical Cannabis Amendment, has protected medical cannabis patients and caregivers from federal interference by preventing the DOJ and DEA from spending any funds to target state medical cannabis programs.

But those protections are on the chopping block.

We can not leave millions of patients—and their healthcare providers—to the risk of prosecution, asset seizure, and harassment.

Today, more than six million Americans rely on these programs to manage their medical conditions. Without the CJS Amendment, these critical safeguards will be lost, placing vulnerable patients and their providers at immediate risk.
