Cannabis Safety Month is a national public education campaign that brings patients, parents, healthcare professionals, policymakers, regulators, employers, educators, researchers, advocates, and community leaders together to address cannabis safety concerns with credible information, practical resources, and solutions. The campaign creates space for conversations that public policy debates rarely provide: a place to acknowledge legitimate concerns, examine the evidence, learn from what is working, and identify practical solutions that strengthen safety while protecting medical cannabis access.
WHY CANNABIS SAFETY MONTH?
When concerns go unanswered, fear fills the gap.
Patients, parents, clinicians, employers, and public health professionals have legitimate concerns about cannabis safety. When those concerns go unanswered, fear, misinformation, and political rhetoric can fill the gap. Cannabis Safety Month brings stakeholders together to examine the evidence, explore strategies for addressing concerns, assess what is working, and identify practical solutions that strengthen safety while protecting medical cannabis access.
Credible cannabis education must acknowledge both therapeutic value and real risks. Trust grows when people receive accurate, practical information rather than slogans.
Cannabis Safety Month moves the conversation beyond competing claims by addressing underlying concerns with credible information, practical safety tools, and policy solutions that protect patients and the public.

BECOME A CANNABIS SAFETY MONTH PARTNER
Partners turn a national campaign into community action.
Cannabis Safety Month Partners are mission-aligned nonprofit organizations, universities, healthcare organizations, professional associations, advocacy organizations, and community groups that support the campaign through education, outreach, expertise, content collaboration, community engagement, advocacy, or other mission-aligned activities.
There is one Cannabis Safety Month Partner designation. Each organization chooses the activities and level of participation that best fit its mission, audience, expertise, and capacity.
Partners are not expected to participate in every activity. One contribution can make a difference.
Ways to Participate
Organizations that want a deeper leadership role may designate a representative to participate in the Cannabis Safety Month Host Committee.
The Host Committee helps shape programming, coordinate implementation, identify speakers and experts, recruit partners, support outreach, build media engagement, and connect the campaign with communities and professional networks.

OTHER WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE
Extend your organization's impact by engaging your community or contributing resources.
In addition to campaign activities, organizations may invite staff, members, supporters, or community members to volunteer, contribute staff time or in-kind resources, or provide financial support. Financial support is welcome but is not required to become a Cannabis Safety Month Partner.
MOBILIZE VOLUNTEERS
Invite your community to help with campaign promotion, community outreach, event support, media and digital support, campaign documentation, and other campaign activities.

Organizations may contribute staff expertise in communications, outreach, translation, design, research, event support, administration, or other professional services.
MAKE AN IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION
Contribute meeting space, printing, technology, accessibility services, travel support, professional services, donated materials, or other campaign resources.
MAKE A FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION
Organizations may make a charitable contribution to Americans for Safe Access to help support the education, coordination, outreach, and resources that make Cannabis Safety Month possible.

Cannabis Safety Month Partners will have access to campaign tools and support, including webinar registration and schedules, approved branding and partner badges, speaker resources, media templates, educational materials, policy tools, and ongoing coordination support.
That means an organization can participate meaningfully without building an entire campaign from scratch.
AMPLIFYING OUR PARTNERS
Partners will be visible throughout Cannabis Safety Month.
Cannabis Safety Month will showcase participating organizations and the expertise, resources, and community leadership they bring to the campaign.
Recognition may include placement on the National Campaign Hub, an official Partner badge, partner profiles and stories, campaign communications, recognition during campaign events, and inclusion in closing acknowledgments and the partner roundtable. Opportunities will be tailored to partner preferences and participation.
SHARED STANDARDS. INDEPENDENT VOICES.
Joining Cannabis Safety Month does not require an organization to endorse every ASA policy position or the views of every campaign partner. Each organization retains its institutional independence.
Materials and activities using Cannabis Safety Month branding must support accurate information, responsible access, harm reduction, practical safety solutions, respectful patient-centered language, accessibility and inclusion, and noncommercial education. ASA reviews co-branded materials and approves use of the Cannabis Safety Month name, logo, and Partner badge.
