Join the Cannabis Safety Month 2026 Organizing Debrief

Cannabis Safety Month is coming this September, and we are inviting volunteers, potential partners, sponsors, media partners, medical professionals, advocates, community leaders, businesses, and others who want to help shape and amplify the campaign to join our national organizing meeting.

Cannabis Safety Month 2026: Moving the National Cannabis Conversation From Fear to Facts is a national public education campaign led by Americans for Safe Access (ASA) and partner organizations. Throughout September, the campaign will bring together patients, parents, healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, regulators, educators, employers, responsible cannabis businesses, and community leaders to address public concerns about cannabis safety with credible information, practical education, and real-world solutions.

At the August 12 meeting, ASA will introduce the campaign and explain the many ways individuals and organizations can participate. We will discuss:

• Cannabis Safety Month goals, themes, and September activities
• Volunteer roles and opportunities
• Becoming a Cannabis Safety Month Partner
• Sponsorship opportunities
• Media partnership and promotional opportunities
• Opportunities for experts, speakers, and organizations to contribute
• Local events, outreach, education, and community engagement
• The Best of 2026 Cannabis Safety Awards, including nominations, public voting, and the September 30 Closing Roundtable & Awards
• Campaign resources and tools ASA will provide to participants

Who Should Attend?

This meeting is for anyone interested in helping Cannabis Safety Month succeed. Whether you want to volunteer your time, contribute professional expertise, bring your organization into the campaign, reach your audience with credible cannabis safety information, sponsor campaign activities, host or participate in an event, nominate someone for an award, or simply learn more, we want you at the table.

There is no financial contribution required to become a Cannabis Safety Month Partner or volunteer. Organizations and individuals can participate according to their expertise, interests, audiences, resources, and capacity.
