Join Team Cannabis Safety as we prepare for Youth Strategies Week: Parents, Pediatrics & Cannabis.

Protecting young people requires more than slogans or scare tactics. This week will focus on practical, evidence-informed approaches for parents, caregivers, healthcare professionals, educators, policymakers, and communities navigating cannabis in a rapidly changing legal and cultural landscape.

Topics will include safe storage and packaging, preventing unintended and underage access, cannabis laws affecting juveniles, age-appropriate education, mental health and self-medication, family history and risk, and the unique considerations surrounding pediatric use of cannabis medicines.

During this meetup, participants will preview the week’s resources and activities, discuss opportunities to contribute expertise and community perspectives, and identify ways to help families and young people access accurate information. We will also look at how thoughtful youth-prevention strategies can coexist with safe and compassionate access to cannabis medicines for pediatric patients who need them.
