Team Cannabis Safety Meet Up: Public Health Week Prep
Join Team Cannabis Safety as we prepare for the final week of Cannabis Safety Month, focused on Public Health Impacts.
Cannabis policy affects more than individual consumers. Laws, regulations, workplace policies, transportation systems, environmental practices, emergency response, healthcare systems, and community institutions all shape whether cannabis is managed safely and responsibly.
This week will explore issues including impaired driving, accidental intoxication, workplace safety, environmental impacts, public-safety responses, and other community concerns associated with cannabis use and regulation. Just as importantly, the campaign will highlight policies, technologies, education, and public-health approaches that can reduce risk without recreating the harms of prohibition.
During the meetup, Team Cannabis Safety will preview the week’s activities and resources, identify opportunities for outreach and participation, and discuss how lessons from Cannabis Safety Month can carry into ongoing policy, education, and community work beyond September.
