Subject Line: "Help Me Fulfill my End of Year Commitment to a Cause That Matters!
Dear [Name],
I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out today because I’m on a mission that truly matters—and I need your help. I’m partnering with Americans for Safe Access (ASA), a nonprofit that’s on the verge of transforming how patients access medical cannabis in the United States.
ASA must raise $500,000 to kick off critical projects and programs in 2025. Our plan is simple: 1000 people raising $500 each. I’ve committed to raising $500, and I’m asking you to help me reach this goal.
Why does it matter? Millions of patients—veterans, those with chronic pain, individuals facing life-altering conditions—depend on cannabis-based medicines. However, without a federal framework, access remains uncertain, education for healthcare providers is limited, and critical research is stalled. ASA’s efforts in 2025 will change that, and your contribution makes it possible.
Any amount helps. It all adds up whether you can give $25 or $500. If you can’t donate, could you share my fundraiser with a friend or two who cares about patient rights and medical progress?
We’re on a tight timeline. If we can meet this goal by the end of the year, we’ll start 2025 with the resources we need to make lasting change.
Thank you for considering this urgent request. Together, we can ensure that patients have the safe, effective, and nationally recognized medical cannabis treatments they deserve. Make your tax-deductible donation here!
Warmly,

Subject: “Will You Help Me Protect Medical Cannabis Patients?”
Dear [Name],
I’m writing to you with a sense of urgency and purpose. The Department of Justice recently agreed with HHS that cannabis has medical value—a win patients have fought decades to achieve. But as soon as this historic news hit the media, patient perspectives were ignored. Instead, we saw headlines about tax benefits for businesses and political angles for the 2024 elections. Even more troubling, “daily cannabis use” statistics are being spun as a public health crisis or proof of “Cannabis Use Disorder” rather than explanations of patients managing chronic conditions that require daily consumption like any other medicine.
This shift has emboldened anti-cannabis voices in Washington, D.C. For the first time in a decade, patient protections under the CJS medical cannabis amendment are at risk. With changes in Senate leadership, this is very likely and could turn back the clock on progress. Patients are still waiting for Congress to increase funding for research exploring cannabis’ therapeutic potential but now there is a looming threat that more funds may focus on research proving the “harms” of cannabis under the guise of public safety instead.
Patients need a voice in Washington to ensure progress on medical cannabis policy!
We must act now. Americans for Safe Access (ASA) is re-energizing its efforts to ensure patients aren’t sidelined. ASA aims to raise $500,000—by asking 1000 supporters to give or help raise $500 each. This funding will secure representation for patients on Capitol Hill, fund a communications team to ensure patient stories are told and mobilize the 6 million existing patients who rely on cannabis-based medicine.
Please consider donating to my personal goal of $500 or sharing my fundraiser. Every dollar counts, and together, we can prevent a rollback of patient protections and ensure that medical cannabis policy in 2025 and beyond puts patients first.
Thank you for standing with me and millions of patients at this critical moment. Make your tax-deductible donation here!
Warmly,
[Your Name]
