Nicky Robins brings a unique blend of personal and professional experience to her role as a Policy Fellow. As a long-term medical cannabis patient, she has firsthand knowledge of the plant’s therapeutic benefits, which informed her decision to earn a Master of Science in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 2022. With a sincere commitment to promoting responsible and informed cannabis use, Nicky is excited to contribute her expertise to Americans for Safe Access.

A dedicated lifelong learner, Nicky also holds a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Anthropology. She has over three decades of customer service experience spanning higher education, insurance, pharmacy, and retail, as well as international experience teaching English as a second language. Having overcome significant personal challenges, including surviving breast cancer, Nicky brings empathy, resilience, and a compassionate perspective to her work. Her practice of living through spirit, with an open heart and open mind, guides her as she strives to empower patients and advance evidence-based cannabis policy.
