Medical Cannabis Conference takes fight for legalization to Capitol Hill
Oscar Pascual, San Francisco Chronicle
The push for legalizing marijuana in the U.S. is as strong as it’s ever been, as 34 states now have cannabis laws in place.
But it’s still not enough, which is why the good people at Americans for Safe Access are holding their 3rd annual National Medical Cannabis Unity Conference and lobby day in Washington, DC early next year.
If you’re serious about legalizing marijuana in your state, then attendance is a must. The conference gathers patients, doctors, researchers, and industry leaders for a week of panel discussions, training, and skills building. Their goal is to inform and prepare advocates to organize their community, wherever their city or state might be.
The event culminates with a lobby day where advocates can put their new-found skills to use while meeting with elected officials and staff. ASA will even make appointments for every attendee to meet with their specific U.S. representative and senator.
The National Medical Cannabis Unity Conference will be held March 27-31, 2015 at the Loews Madison Hotel. Bring change to your community and register now.
