Cannabis Safety Month Activity Hour

Make Cannabis Safety Month Count! Join ASA’s Cannabis Safety Month Activity Hour on Sunday, August 23, at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET. Whether you have been involved with ASA recently or it's been a while, this is a chance to reconnect through one focused volunteer project. ASA is launching Cannabis Safety Month 2026 in September, a national campaign that brings together patients, healthcare professionals, researchers, advocates, educators, businesses, and other stakeholders to move the cannabis conversation from fear to facts.

During the Activity Hour, we will provide campaign materials, sample messages, and suggested contacts, then work together to promote September programming, encourage Cannabis Safety Award nominations before the September 5th deadline, and invite potential campaign partners, sponsors, experts, and media partners to participate.

No advance preparation or outreach experience is needed. Just bring your screen and a short list of friends, colleagues, organizations, or community leaders who should hear from us. Our goal is simple: everyone leaves having sent at least five personal messages that help Cannabis Safety Month reach beyond ASA’s existing audience.
