Sign the Petition to Ask Your Representative and Senators to Sign on to the CARERS Act! (National)
http://www.safeaccessnow.org/senate_carers_act_petition

The CARERS Act is the most comprehensive piece of federal medical marijuana legislation that has ever been introduced in both the U.S. House and Senate. The bill would allow state programs to continue without federal inference, move marijuana out of Schedule I, remove CBD from the scheduling, create access to banking services for legal marijuana businesses, end the Public Health service review process and NIDA monopoly that blocks research, and allow VA doctors to write recommendations in states that have a medical marijuana program. Please share this link with your friends and loved ones who care about medical cannabis.

California Campaign for Safe Access
http://www.safeaccessnow.org/california_campaign_for_safe_access

The California Campaign for Safe Access is ASA's oldest state campaign. There are more legal patients, providers, and recommending physicians in California than any other state. More than 1.4 million patients have safe, reliable, and dignified access to medicine in the state, but significant challenges remain. This page has newly updated links to the information you need to get in involved at the local and state level.

Video: Bonta, Americans for Safe Access Urge Governor to Sign Medical Marijuana Legislation
http://www.safeaccessnow.org/ca_assembly_member_bonta_and_asa_ask_the_governor_to_sign_new_legilsation

During a news conference in Oakland Assemblymember Rob Bonta (D-Oakland) and Don Duncan with Americans for Safe Access were joined by Assemblymembers Ken Cooley (D-Rancho Cordova) and Tom Lackey (R-Palmdale) and other local and state advocates to urge Governor Jerry Brown to sign a trio of medical marijuana bills that passed the Legislature. Assemblymember Bonta, lead author of Assembly Bill 266, told the media “With this legislation, the ‘wild west’ of the medical marijuana industry will be reined in and all of California will benefit.” Duncan says he feels the legislation will benefit patients, law enforcement and communities, “We know from our research and our experience that sensible regulations for medical cannabis preserves safe and legal access for patients and communities...and they reduce crime.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video. http://www.asmdc.org/bonta
