Dr. Jeffrey Block

Since 2007, career anesthesiologist Jeffrey Block, M.D. has taught a conceptual rationale to the endocannabinoid system (ECS) receptor’s applied clinical function at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. His engaging approach to understand cannabinoid medicines uses a practical model building on Vincenzo Di Marzo’s early insight published in Trends Neuroscience (1998) 21, 521–528. Professor Block’s practical descriptions of ECS function from conception until death extend its clinical application to healthcare. His expertise of botanical medicines’ pharmacology and physiology effects help articulate hypothetical patient treatment considerations that have withstood the scrutiny of new research discoveries.
