Help our Medical Cannabis Prisoners!

Terry_and_Husband.jpgI am writing to ask you to do something special for my husband, Jerry Duval, and the other victims of the federal attack on medical cannabis. Will you take a minute to help?

Like more than one hundred Americans, my husband is serving time for a medical cannabis crime in federal prison. He was prosecuted under federal law, which means he was not allowed to talk about his medical use of cannabis or his motives at his trial. Jerry and the other victims of federal medical cannabis prosecution have given up their freedom to help suffering patients. But there is something you can do to help.

Will you write a short message to Jerry and the other prisoners on this online message board right now? My friends at Americans for Safe Access (ASA), the nation’s leading medical cannabis patients’ advocacy organization, will share your comments with those behind bars.

Your comments mean the world to someone unjustly convicted and jailed for medical cannabis. Take a minute to write a short note, it means so much. You will feel great about it, and you will make someone’s day when they know you thought of them.

We must change federal law if we are going to stop putting people in jail for medical cannabis. ASA is fighting to do that for Jerry and the other prisoners by cutting off federal funding for medical cannabis enforcement, allowing a fir defense for people like Jerry in federal court, and changing federal law. Can you help get that important and compassionate work done? Make a contribution of any size today to help support ASA’s federal medical cannabis work when you write a comment for the prisoners of war.

Thank you for sending a message to Jerry and the other prisoners. It means the world to them!

All the best,

Tracey Duval

As a disabled veteran and victim of the opioid overdosing done by doctors in the late 90’s I can appreciate your position. If your cause is just…it shall be heard and answered truthfully.

If you or a loved one is a veteran and needs help getting a medical cannabis card in your state hit me up on FB. I have been through the process and can help.

I know what it is like to be targeted for being medical marijuana user. I have used marijuana for 33 years and it is the best and most effective medicine for my needs. I have grown my own medicine since 1999. I am a mental health therapist with over 24 years of experience and have never had a complaint about my performance despite my “chronic” use :) I have Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and need it to feel calm and safe so I can interact well with my surroundings.

I have been targeted by a past employer for my use as well as 3 psychiatrists in a row in the state of Oregon (where it is completely legal, medically and recreationally). It stymies me to encounter such discrimination and persistent scare tactics of false claims that marijuana causes psychosis. Those around me have been so desperate to prove their point that they have systematically destroyed my ability to continue to imbibe marijuana. My family believes that I should be in a group home because I use marijuana and are literally documenting my behavior through unauthorized video and audio recording.

First, my family killed my crop with pesticides and then sprayed them with methamphetamine. Each time I purchase marijuana at a dispensary, somebody contaminates (meth-taminates) my pipe and marijuana so I can never get a clean, green hit. It is awful to have effective medication withheld and then to be discriminated against. I have not been able to smoke marijuana for months and it is infuriating.

It must be very hard to be in your position and I admire your strength and compassion to share your story and reach out to others. I wish you the best and hope that you and others in your similar plight are released soon. I know several others that could easily take your place for methamphetamine manufacturing, distribution and selling at Sly Farms and Meyer Livestock Company.

Hang in there. Times are changing and together we have a strong voice saying “enough is enough.” All great changes start with a revolution and it is here. We will look back at this time in history as so many others, with “wow, I can’t believe people were treated like that.” You are a good person and don’t ever believe anyone who tells you differently. Sending you my most sincere wishes. You are not alone.

My wife and I agree that YOU have been SCREWED by an archaic (at best) system which REFUSES to admit that they might be, even in the slightest way, incorrect in their JUDGMENTAL line of CRAP!!!!!!!! We are praying for you and your family. Much Love and Prayer to all!
