Safe Access Virginia at VA Lobby Day

Join Us for the VA Lobby Day and Activist Training!

Come and help Safe Access Virginia share the medical cannabis legislation and build relationships with our elected officials in Richmond. It's a federal holiday but the General Assembly will be in session. We will be holding a citizen lobby training session on Saturday, January 18 from Noon until 4 PM in Richmond to help prepare everyone for this lobby session. 

Activist Training 
When: Saturday, January 18, 2014, 12:00am -4:00pm
Where: Richmond Public Library Main branch located at 101 E. Franklin St., Richmond, VA 23219 from 12-4 PM. 
Why: Join us in blazing a path for the future to ensure all patients have full, legal, safe access to medical cannabis.

This training will prepare citizen lobbyists to speak with legislators on Monday, January 20 at the state capitol regarding the Virginia Medical Cannabis Act which is draft legislation creating a law that allows Virginia residents safe, legal access to medical cannabis. We believe this decision is best left to a patient and doctor to decide as a doctor has the medical training to determine the best course of treatment.

 If you plan on attending lobby day, please let us know if you need an appointment or not. We are willing to help you make appointments but need to know your address so we can determine who your legislators are. If you want to make your own appointments, just notify us of when, where, with whom and if you would like others to join you. When scheduling appointments, make sure you state that you are lobbying with Safe Access Virginia and if you want others to be with you, let the person know because they sometimes have to setup conference rooms for us. We want this to be as easy on everyone as possible.

In a time when many other states are listening to citizens’ voices regarding cannabis, Virginia is slowly falling behind but along with Safe Access Virginia, you can help change that. We hope to see you there.
