Patient Focused Certification Training Day
This training is available to anyone interested in learning more about medical cannabis, including those looking to enter the cannabis industry and those already working in the industry but looking to learn more about how to keep their business compliant. The course will provide students with the newly updated PFC Core Cannabis Training courses as well as California state compliance training (optional for those not in LA). All participants will also be provided with access to the PFC online training portal to take the National Cannabis Standards Training course in the discipline of their choice (cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, or laboratory operations) as well as to take course exams and receive training certificates.
You will have the option to join the training in person in Venice, California or attend from any location you are at via a live online Zoom Webinar.

Course Details:

Understanding Cannabis Law (1 hour)
The course is an overview of federal cannabis laws, the history of medical cannabis laws, which states have medical cannabis laws, and the conflict between state and federal laws. The course also includes a Federal Law Enforcement interaction and raid preparedness training component. -
Cannabinoids as Medicine (2 hour)
The course gives participants an overview of the most current cannabis research, how cannabinoids works in the body, different varieties of cannabis and cannabinoids, and the various cannabis-based pharmaceuticals currently available. -
Advocate Training (.5 hour)
This abridged course will demystify political processes and provide students with the tools they need to advocate for medical cannabis in a meaningful way. -
Business Operations (1.5 hour)
The course teaches how to deliver the best quality of care to customers, how to handle interactions with Federal Law Enforcement, what to do in an emergency situation, and how to ensure the safety of cannabis products. -
California State Compliance Training (SSCT) (2 hour)
This course is designed to give individuals a comprehensive foundation of knowledge of the laws pertaining to California cannabis businesses, as well as, the regulations that govern day to day operations.
