Becoming a Caregiver, Producer or Provider in Iowa
Primary caregivers may possess and assist with administration of CBD oil to a registered patient. Caregivers are designated by the physician rather than the patient, and done so at the time when filling out the written recommendation. Caregivers must be at least 18 years of age. Like patients, caregivers must also have a registration card from the Department of Public Health in order to have legal protections.
Providers and Producers
There are no in-state providers or producers under SF 2360. Instead, patients must obtain their CBD oil from a state that allows for reciprocity to purchase CBD oil in that state.
