The Charlotte's Web Medical Hemp Act of 2014 would have removed cannabis containing less than 0.3% THC from the Controlled Substances Act. The bill would allow for the production and interstate transport of low-THC cannabis and derived products. However, any cannabis and derived products that above 0.3% THC would still remain illegal under federal law. By not allowing for access to cannabis and products above 0.3% THC, most patients would be excluded from obtaining relief under this provision.
