The CARERS Act is the most comprehensive piece of federal medical marijuana legislation that has ever been introduced in both the U.S. House and Senate Introduced in the Senate by Senators Corey Booker (D-NJ), Rand Paul (R-KY), and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and in the House by Representatives Steve Cohen (D-TN) and Don Young (R-AK), the bipartisan legislation would remedy the state-federal conflict over medical marijuana laws.

The bill would allow state programs to continue without federal inference, move marijuana out of Schedule I, remove CBD from the scheduling, create access to banking services for legal marijuana businesses, end the Public Health service review process and NIDA monopoly that blocks research, and allow VA doctors to write recommendations in states that have a medical marijuana program.

For the first time ever, we have comprehensive medical marijuana legislation in both the U.S. House and Senate.  Sign the Petition below to urge your senators and representative to protect safe access and patients right by signing onto the CARERS Act.

I’m 43 years old and do not smoke marijuana myself, but I’ve researched the topic enough to know that it does not belong as a Schedule 1 drug and is a safer medication than most prescription drugs.

This bill is still a flat out lie at sched 2. Start backing Bernie’s bill SB 2237 instead, & get this plant off the CSA.

I am disabled, in chronic pain all the time. Pain pills do not help to maintain a healthy quality of life.
