Frederick, Maryland PFC Training

The long awaited Maryland Medical Cannabis Program has finally begun! With the announcement of the Grower licenses, it is time to start thinking about how you can make the best effort in providing clean, safe medicine to the many patients that have waited so long. Cannabis is the fastest growing industry in the United States, and with this increasingly competitive market and ever changing regulations, it has become essential for regulators, industry workers, and employers to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices.

In order to help you master industry’s best practices for Cultivation, Manufacturing and Distribution,Patient Focused Certification (PFC) will be hosting a PFC Verified Professional (PFCVP) training, November 7-10 in Frederick, MD.

What You Will Learn

This 4-day in-person training will be taught using a combination of lecture and hands on exercises to provide a professional credential for regulators and business professionals working in the cannabis industry. During this training, you will receive a detailed overview of Cannabis as medicine including a history of Cannabis in the U.S., best security practices for cannabis businesses, and the human body’s endocannabinoid system. Additionally, this 4-day course will cover PFC’s National Cannabis Standards in the areas of Cultivation and Processing; Manufacturing, Packaging, Labeling and Holding; and Distribution (Dispensing) as well as pesticide use guidance, sustainability considerations, QC/QA & representative sampling protocols, and preparation for internal and external audits.

Why You Should Attend the Training

With the start of Maryland’s Medical Cannabis program, you want to start out strong, and set your business above the rest. The National Cannabis Standards, adopted by the PFC program, represent the consensus of the world’s leading experts on cannabis, hemp and botanical product regulations. Having met strict criteria established by the PFC program, individuals can use the PFCVP program to prove they have mastered core industry standards, state laws and regulations, and product safety protocols. PFCVP ensures that you have the skills, expertise and training, necessary to meet regulatory requirements, prepare for internal & external audits, and meet Maryland’s rigorous product safety protocols.
