Demand Congress Support the 2015 CJS Medical Marijuana Amendment!

CTA_CJS_2015.jpgThe US House of Representatives is expected to vote tomorrow to reauthorize the Rohrabacher-Farr Amendment to the Commerce, Science, and Justice (CJS) Appropriations bill for fiscal year 2015.

Last year Congress voted 218-189 to cut off funding for federal medical cannabis raids, arrests, and prosecutions in states where it is legal. This was arguably one of the biggest victory in the contemporary fight for medical cannabis rights.

And this is why we need your help! Last year's version of the amendment will expire at the end of September and needs to be re-approved to extend the protections for another year.

This year’s version is sponsored by 6 Republicans and 6 Democrats: Rohrabacher (R-CA), Farr (D-CA), Ribble (R-WI), Lee (D-CA), Massie (R-KY), Blumenauer (D-OR), Heck (R-NV), Cohen (D-TN), Young (R-AK) Polis (D-CO), McClintock (R-CA), Titus (D-NV). Click here to see ASA's fact sheet on the amendment.

We're doing our part by lobbying on Capitol Hill, but we desperately need your help contact your Representatives and asking for their support to this amendment.

Please take 2 minutes to send this pre-written email to your Representatives and demand they support the 2015 CJS Medical Marijuana Amendment!
