Medical Marijuana Victory
February 29, 2004
A victory in the courtroom for advocates of medical marijuana in Idaho. A Federal Appeals Court in San Francisco has refused to reconsider its ban on medical marijuana raids in Idaho and eight other western states.
Those states include: California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Montana, Nevada, Alaska and Hawaii.
The unanimous decision means the federal government cannot raid people who grow, posses, and use marijuana with a prescription. An appeal to the U-S Supreme Court is expected.
