The Humboldt County chapter of Americans for Safe Access will hold a protest on the front lawn of Arcata City Hall tonight at 5, according to a news release from ASA.

The demonstration will be held in response to raids conducted Wednesday by the Drug Enforcement Administration against at least six medical marijuana dispensaries in the Los Angeles area, according to the release.

The protest will include discussion and information regarding the raids in Los Angeles, medical marijuana in California and future actions.

“The protest is in support of the owners, employees and patients harmed during the raids. In addition, the protest will send a message to the DEA that the medical marijuana community will not tolerate the agency’s disregard for California state law and the agency’s continuing harassment of sick Californians,” the release stated.
