A Santa Rosa medical marijuana club is trying to reach out to its neighbors, to quell concern over some of its unruly customers. Workers at the Resource Green Caregiver and Patients Group say they're trying to resolve the problems, and the facility sent out a letter to about 50 residents of the Luther Burbank Gardens neighborhood, many of whom recently complained to police and city officials about activity near the club.

'We are really trying to make an effort,' said Melissa Gordon, a manager at the facility. 'We're here to support the community, not be a disservice.'

Criticism of Resource Green came last week before the City Council. Neighbors complained of confrontations with customers and urged city officials to investigate. The council is considering adopting an ordinance to regulate the city's three medical marijuana clubs.

'It's on our radar screen,' Mayor Jane Bender said. 'We're very concerned about it.'
