Peer Counseling and Dispensary Services
What is it?
ASA's Peer Counseling Program is an education, outreach and training program specifically for medical cannabis patients and their caregivers. Trained ASA Peer Counselors are available to answer legal, medical and political questions, as well as conduct legal trainings and patient spokesperson trainings. Current literature is also available through the program. Any patient or caregiver with questions or looking to get involved would greatly benefit from meeting with one of our many peer counselors throughout the state of California.
Where do I find an ASA Peer Counselor?
The ASA Peer Counseling Program is facilitated through medical cannabis dispensing collectives. Collectives that become members of ASA are eligible for a variety of peer counseling services depending on the level of their membership. Collective donations help ASA continue our fight. Peer counseling services are available to the collective's patient members at no charge. A list of peer counseling locations will be posted to this site shortly. Until then, you can call the peer counseling coordinators listed below to find out more information.
How can I get my collective involved with ASA Peer Counseling Program?
If your favorite collective is not a member of ASA, let them know you would like them to consider it. You, as a patient, can feel good about going to a collective that is an ASA member because they have received our legal training and receive up-to-date information on all pertinent medical marijuana issues.
Interested collectives can contact their Regional Peer Counseling Coordinator directly for more information.
